Abandoned Bikes Recycling (114-2 semester)

1.    In accordance with “Directions for Dealing With Discarded Vehicles on Campus Parking Spaces of National Cheng Kung University” any bicycle that meets one of the following conditions shall be deemed an abandoned vehicle under these guidelines and will be collected and removed according to the schedule below:

• (1) Missing handlebars or a seat.
• (2) Missing one of the two wheels or having severely damaged tires.
• (3) A broken chain and severe rust.
• (4) Any other condition judged, based on appearance, to be unfit for use.

2.    Recycling Schedule for Abandoned Bicycles in the Student Dormitory Area for the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 114, to be carried out in two phases, as explained below:

• A.    Phase One: Issuance of Notices.
  • (1) Between May 11 and May 24 : During this period, A red notification sheet will be attached to bikes identified as abandoned.
  • (2) Between May 25 and May 29, abandoned bicycles will be collected and relocated to designated collection areas.
    • i.    Kuang-Fu Student Dorm square for bike near by Kuang-Fu Dorm
    • ii.    Sheng-Li Dorm No.1, 4, and 6: the space in front of Sheng-Li 6
    • iii.    Sheng-Li Dorm No.8 and 9: the tree in front of Sheng-Li 9 automatic door (next to fence) 
    • iv.    Sheng-Li Dorm No.2 and 3: the lawn in front of Sheng-Li 2 front door
    • v.    Ching-Yeh Student Dorm No.1: the space in front of Ching-Yeh Dorm 1
    • vi.    Ching-Yeh Student Dorm No.3: the space front left of Ching-Yeh Dorm 3
    • vii.    Dong-Ning Std. Dorm: open space behind Building C
• B.    Phase Two: Removal.
  • a.    Location: Abandoned Bicycle Collection Area at Li-Hsing Campus.
  • b.    A separate announcement will be made in late May, Academic Year 115, regarding the schedule for relocating bicycles to the recycling area and the claim procedures.
