Notices for earlier check-in at the students’ dorms for the 1st semester of academic year 2016/17

• 1.    Definition for earlier check-in: Students who have completed reserving a place at the students’ dorms for the 1st semester in AY 2016/17 would like to check in from August 30th (included) to September 9th.
• 2.    Identity, application date, how to apply, how we arrange your place, and your place inquiry:
  • (1)    Identity: Students who have completed reserving a place at the students’ dorms for the 1st semester in AY 2016/17.
  • (2)    Application date: From 10:00 on August 15th to 10:00 on September 9th, 2016, and the application should be submitted on-line at least one week earlier before the date the applicant will check in. If the application is not submitted at least one week earlier before the date the applicant will check in, the applicant will be charged 250 NT$ for the handling fee.

  • (4)    How we arrange your place:
    • (a)    For college freshmen (bachelor’s degree):
      • i.    Application before we finish the place arrangement: We will let you know about your accommodation at the dorm on August 26th.
      • ii.    Application after we finish the place arrangement: We will let you move into the same room as your reserved place for the 1st semester in AY 2016/17, or into another room if necessary.
    • (b)    Others: We will let you move into the same room as your reserved place for the 1st semester in AY 2016/17, or into another room if necessary.
• 3.    Cancellation or any changes to the application:
  • (1)    If we have informed you of the accommodation arrangement and you would like to cancel or make any changes to the application, you need to let us know at least 3 days earlier before your originally scheduled check-in date and pay the handling fee of 250 NT$.
  • (2)    If you want to cancel it after moving in, you will need to pay 130 NT$/day (from the check-in date to the date of cancellation) and the handling fee of 250 NT$.
• 4.    Payment:
  • (1)    Payment deadline: You should pay it before you check in.
  • (2)    Where to pay it: Please pay it at the payment machines on school campuses.
  • (3)    How the accommodation fee is counted: 130 NT$/day plus the fee of electricity usage. The fee of electricity usage varies at each dorm.
  • (4)    How the electricity fee for using the air conditioner is counted and when to pay it: Its’ 4.03 NT$/kW.h, and pay it by the deadline announced by each dorm.
• 5.    Notices for application:
  • (1)    If you are withdrawn from your accommodation or want to cancel your accommodation during your stay at the dorm, the paid accommodation fee is not refundable.
  • (2)    If you complete your application and you will stay in the room alone, we will rearrange your place in case of any emergency.
  • (3)    During your stay, we will randomly go and check out the residents’ identity. People who occupy the room or stay in the room without any permission will be punished according the school’s regulation.
• 6.    Please go to the manager of each dorm to check in at the dorm during work time (08:30~12:00, Mon. to Fri.). In case that you will check in beyond the work time, please ask one of the school staff to help you check in.
• 7.    Check-out
  • (1)    Check-out is not necessary if your place is the same as that of yours for the 1st semester in AY 2016/17. If not, please complete the check-out procedures.
  • (2)    Check-out deadline: Please refer to the notification from the Housing Service Division. In case of any special situations, please follow the Resident Counselors' instructions. Residents failing to do the check-out procedures by the deadline will get penalties of 5~8 violation points and will need to pay 200 NT$/day as well as the clean-up fee 1000 NT$.
  • (3)    Check-out procedures: Please refer to the check-out notification.
    * Please note that getting violation points will impact on your application for the accommodation.
